I'm not only a bad blogger, I'm a bad parent. I have hardly taken any pictures over the past several months. What I really need is a picture of B since we made him get his hair cut. Well, we didn't really make him. We just told him that he'd have to brush & wash it more often if he was going to keep it long. He was in the barber's chair in the blink of an eye.
So these are pictures taken last September that never made it onto the blog. Hiker B looks SO young in these pictures! It's amazing how much he's grown up in just five months. Kindergarten will do that to you, or so I hear. Both of these were taken on our Backyard Mountain.
Then there's the ever-popular Z-pounds-a-beer shot. Ever since he totally freaked me out by sending Z in to chug water out of a beer bottle in front of me, M has thought it's hilarious to let her "drink beer."

Valentines
My dad sent me these this morning. The first is a valentine card sent in 1906 by my great-grandfather Vivion to my great-grandmother Josie. The other is their wedding picture. Sweet, huh?

Christmas morning
What?! I told you I was behind.
This is B holding his cousin Andy. He was terribly proud of his ability to entertain Andy & his twin brother Sam, and even went so far as to tell me I should have another baby so he'd have a little brother to play with. Riiiiiiight.
Z was easy to please at Christmas. When asked what she really wanted, all she could come up with was a box of band-aids. So Santa brought her a box of Elmo band-aids. There were hours of amusement in that little box, all for about $1. And band-aids stuck on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.
This last one has nothing to do with Christmas, although it was taken on Christmas morning. I just wanted to show off what truly spectacular bedhead Miss Z is capable of pulling off:
